Bad Beat Syndrome and The Road to Recovery

If you are suffering from bad beat syndrome or BBS, we have discovered a 12 step program to help recovering bad beat addicts.Although Phil Hellmuth (pictured left) declined the offer to be Spokesman for Bad Beats Anonymous or BBA everyone can still benefit from the program. The first step in the long road to recovery is admitting you have a serious problem. If your friends and family keep telling you to quit whining like a baby everytime you lose then you more than likely are suffering from bad beat syndrome better known as BBS in the poker community. If you or someone you know is suffering from BBS just send them here and tell them to follow the 12 step program.

  • Step 1- Realizing that you have a problem that can be corrected

  • Step 2- Knowing that there is no such thing as a bad beat

  • Step 3- Admitting that poker is a form of gambling

  • Step 4- Anything can be conquered if approached 1 day at a time

  • Step 5- Knowing that the only hand that can't be beat is the elusive royal flush

  • Step 6- Take a shot of vodka every time you think you are having an episode

  • Step 7-12 Repeat steps 1-6 over and over until you feel better, although you could just keep repeating step 6 if you don't have to work tomorrow

  • The motto of BBA is the most important of all and should be carried on your person at all times. It is as follows:

I (Your Name) do solemnly swear that I will no longer cry when somebody has the balls to call my AK suited holding only 10-2 offsuit and hereby fully admit for all the world to hear that poker is and always will be a game of chance. I also realize that unless I'm sitting on a royal flush I can be beat at anytime and lose my entire bankroll. This I do solemnly swear with the poker community as my witness

Now...get back to playing and quit crying!

Dear fellow Winpoka.com reciprocal link holder,

This is an exciting time for Winpoka, and it could be for you too! You previously held a reciprocal link with us on an archaic, almost link-farm type site which is still up at http://www.winpoka.com/online_poker_directory.htm We're introducing one of the internet's most selective online poker link exchange and you've been selected to participate!

Since you already hold a reciprocal link to winpoka, we absolutely HATE to ask you to do any more work, but let us tell you, it's well worth it!
    - Please visit the brand new http://www.winpoka.com/index.htm (Which is sponsored at 1st and 2nd spots on Google.com)
    - Click on the Propoka Link Exchange button in the bottom right corner of the menu at the top of the page.
    - Complete the sign up process and add the small html code to your homepage (not your links page) to help promote this great new program.
    - Sit back and relax! We do the rest of the work! We collect all your links in a plain html or php file, and email you new links every week (while emailing your link to our hundreds of new subscribers!) - We even check automatically to see if the links are reciprocated!

So please, visit http://www.winpoka.com/index.htm right now and sign up, it takes a few seconds, and you'll have multiple new links in less than a week! Those links will grow in the weeks to come, and it will only spider-web from there! Thanks so much for taking part!

If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to email us back at addme@winpoka.com or contact a live help person on our site during the day!

    Sincerely,
    - Winpoka.com Support Staff

Online poker is booming everywhere you look. In every small corner of the net you can find links to video poker, online casinos and poker rooms. The explosion of poker also has a growing group of young folks looking into playing poker for a living. This can be very profitable if you use some math logic and common sense. In live poker the one thing you have to have (other than cash) is complete unpredictability. If you bluff every 10 hands, someone will notice. The trick is to keep it in the back of your mind constantly that you should never ever let them know what you are thinking!. If you are playing with a table full of people like this, then all logic and most poker odds go down the toilet, cause the cards can and will fall ANY way they want to
